Sobriety Congratulations Cards
Aavaan and Evelyn Kryger win Creole Lower Saxony and Bremen
It was for the ten bands that occurred during the preliminary Creole for Lower Saxony and Bremen on Friday (bands 1-5) and Saturday (6-10) were two prices. A panel of scientists, musicians, music journalists and broadcasters should a list of criteria to select the two band that should go to Berlin as the national championships. Here in Hanover, there was already a certificate and a cash prize.
Visitors should be awarded the audience award. Therefore, the "modern" technology bemüht.Wie for American Idol and other shows running on television in each band was assigned a code, which flowed as normal SMS prices (a major difference to the TV shows) in the result.
What a stupid idea. While probably the visitors under 30 years, all had their phones here, could the same statement in the negative variant be made for visitors over 40 years. We were in the majority in the audience, but could not participate in the vote. The first Creole in the Pavilion in November 2006 for the Audience Award voting card distributed at the entrance to all guests. This was democratic!
I wondered also how I would bring the performances of the ten tape in a sequence. There were several outstanding bands that I would like to give good grades. Hòlabesh, Indigo Masala, Evelyn Kryger, Aavan, Royal Basement Ensemble and Musica e Arte were interesting and each had 1-2 remarkable pieces.
It took more than an hour in the foyer until the music stopped again, and many guests crowded the hall. The stage was decorated and all the judges and many organizers came to the stage.
Aavaan and Evelyn Kryger won the Jury Prize and represented Niedersachsen / Bremen in May in Berlin. The audience award went to the Royal Basement Ensemble, not what surprised me more, because this band had brought the largest group of fans to the festival.

The Creole Festival, I was really glad with the NDR, the state of Lower Saxony music , the Foundation of Lower Saxony and Bremen's Senator for additional culture funds were made available. 10 bands in five hours for only 15 €. That was a low-cost weekend entertainment.
Creole was a success in 2011. And for me as a visitor a good experience with stimulating conversation and a few bands that I want to hear in the future once a full concert. With a CD by Evelyn Kryger I was happy in the cold after Home.

But then it became clear that here hold two Hanoverian about music emotional contact with the country of their parents. And that is also part of the World, when traditional music is played in other contexts. The percussionist was also the drummer of Hòlabesh.

10th Yala Yala Zootones (Explosive Ska-Jazz)
The evening and the festival ended with dance music. Here were two musicians of the first band of the night back on stage and yet it was natural that the other band Evelyn Kryger. For my taste there was too much party music.

Creole competition in the Pavilion Hannover - Day 1
On Friday and Saturday found the competition concerts to Creole - Global Music from Lower Saxony and Bremen at the Cultural Pavilion in Hanover, and two bands may now go to the Federal Competition in Berlin. Two dozen applications were available, and ten bands were selected and were now invited to present in every 20 minutes for their contribution and their understanding of world music.
This is the third time that the Creole is offered. As four years ago, this competition for the first time was performed there was the Trillke Trio (here CD review ) a real find to celebrate.
The bands define their music itself is quite funny to read this self-description, since no similar and is maintained in part the love of neologism. The whole festival was for me a Deaf Date , so none of the bands I was previously known. Here are my subjective impressions.
first Hòlabesh (Oriental-Balkan Salsa)
It is a difficult task to open a festival. This was also heard in the first two songs. Outstanding was the Szilvia Csaranko pianist and drummer and vocalist Kaveh Madadi. Your interpretation of world music processing Latin, Balkan and Mediterranean music. What was missing, unfortunately, was a real joy in playing that the audience has been taught. It was a relatively cool band. However, the bar was set for this group very high.
second Indigo Masala (Acoustic-Asian fusion)
The Brunswick Formation created new sounds. The combination of sitar, tabla and accordion I had not heard before. Added to this was that all three of the verbal art of percussion, as they have been the performances of the Karnataka College of Percussion in Germany as well cultivated. The joke of Yogendra transferred quickly to the audience. He made witty comments, and between the fourth song on the Asian cuisine as a rap enthusiasm led to the call. The bills were called by the musicians and food, this really sounded like a song with melody and rhythm.
third Nio + Five Peace (Urban-Folk-Pop)
A combination of an Uzbek singer and a German guitar player at first sounds very interesting. Unfortunately, I fell ill several elements of this site. It started with the fact that the singing was supported with strong Hall. Nilufar Omon has a great voice, but was pushed by this elected effect at the margin. The guitar sound not extraordinary. His technique was there in the 1970s and 1980s in the German political scene of the singer several times. Only the fourth piece was great. I had to close my eyes to enjoy this outstanding combination of vocals and guitar, the full extent.
4th Folk Inn (Floating-World-Folk) Bremer

5th Osiris T. (Nu-Celtic-Rock)
The first evening ended with an acoustic challenge that many refused for a song. The band has a reputation in their scene, but this scene was only in very small numbers found in the room. Gothic, with its mask-like facial features may well also process traditional Scottish music, but the band was on the wrong festival. Whether the music was technically good, can I judge me they did not simple. The posing is perhaps this style to but looked ridiculous. I participated for the second song in the vote with their feet. In the foyer were already a dozen spectators before the end of the show we were well over 100 people who went to the still hefty awards on this site. In conversation I expressed
in celebration of the defined sequence. The idea of what would have happened if Osiris T. would have played earlier, was very uncomfortable.

yesterday when I went into the icy air to the Creole Festival, I saw on a street corner a daffodil. I was confused and still had to smile. Signs of spring are now fourth in the cold this winter, pushing more than welcome.
I'm just once again went to the corner of Eden / Ferdi-Walli. In fact, although even here in the enlarged city at the moment, temperatures below freezing, grew flowers.
A new (Spa) shop has opened in the gap between the asphalt of the walkway and the house front, various flowers planted. Beautiful
can not be waiting and hoping to spring into the gray streets strengthened. I have for this season already experienced a lot too many days of frost.

love music department!
I was your listeners since your birth. Whether in work or in the kitchen, 106.5 was set in radio. If a program because once an unsympathetic voice or topics of no interest to me was, was not then changed the channel, but inserted a CD or iTunes running on the computer.
This happened in the last few weeks and more frequently. But there are no unpleasant or uninteresting votes Reports, but boring music and felt 10 times per hour self-promotion. What then is the alternative to commercial stations that are annoying the repetitive advertising.

All pearls are eingetrudelt, some have already received their, to all others I have now all packed and then go on the trip now. The photos are finished, just have a little to be pimped when ale beads have arrived at home, I can publish the photos. And - there are beautiful examples of this picture.
All the beads are here by now, some photos have been taken, but no photos till every Beader got their beads at home. I want to make the packages this weekend, then you can count the days, till you get them. And they are all little beauties. Regards

So after small pause some more. Solder like crazy. This time in the cafe hundred on the 100th Alaunstraße Here we go from 17 clock and take so long has had, so that each participant can walk with what crazy sounding home. The plan is still small ne jam session after launch, depending on how we are funny. So, as always bring your soldering iron and toys, etc. are otherwise material and kits (AcidFist, NoiseSquirt, feedback heaven) and n few toys at the start.
